It was off to Wolds for our 2nd club race of the year to the Snake Lane 10 in Pocklington. This 10 miler has always been popular and sold out in days and there was a great STAC turnout of 36 first and second claim members.
Pleasantly flat with mild weather for 8 miles the course deceived quite a few of us with the last couple of miles mostly uphill into a brutal headwind!
Nevertheless there was some spectacular STAC performances with PB’s getting smashed all over.
In the club championship it’s still very early days, but in the ladies Wendy Higgins is ahead of Sarah Turnbull and Adele Wilson. Whilst in the men’s Glen Johnson is setting the pace just ahead of Ian Maudsley and with Andrew Grinnell in third.
