The 2022 club championship started at Huddersfield, and here’s hoping we get an uniterrupted year and are able to do all 14 races as planned!
We thought choosing a parkrun would make it a relatively tame start to the club championship but the weather had other ideas! Near gale force wins challenges the runners on this interestingly twisty course!
A few STAC’s understandably chose not to travel due to the conditions, however there were over 30 who took part.
Big well done to Shane Grace, last year’s champion, who started his defence in style by finishing 1st overall ahead of Richard Herrington in 2nd. There was also an epic battle for 3rd place STAC with Glen Johnson ahead of 5 other STAC’s who all finished between 10th and 18th with 30 seconds between them.
Annie Roddy was the leading STAC lady of the day ahead of Sarah Turnbull and Wendy Higgins.
