Over the winter period I plan on leading some tempo / interval sessions for members to run on Tuesday nights. These sessions will be on streets near our usual running routes and will be tailored to suite all members interested in some “speed” work.
These sessions will benefit all our members whatever running target you may have. These will help you base running endurance which is needed if you are running a Park Run, a Marathon or 24 hour endurance event.
As a rule they will involve running to a start point roughly 1.5 to 2 miles from Barnbow club then a range of reps totalling 3 to 4 miles and then a jog back to the club. Sessions can be adapted to suite all paces.
I have identified a few potential routes but it may take a bit of trial and error to find those that are safe and suitable for a range of members to do. The laps will be set up on Strava so those that like to chase segments can tick them off and see you times improve.
