THE COURSE IS NOW FULL THANK YOU FOR LOOKING.

The course is designed to take a complete beginner with no running experience from walking to running non stop for 30 minutes by the end of the 12 week period. There is a gradual progression from a lot of walking with little running to a little walking with a lot more running by the end of the course. As everyone is unique our team of helpers will help you achieve your goal even though, for some, it may mean extending the course in order to suit. Holidays, family commitments etc. may slow progress. If you’re committed then so are we.
You will be given a basic, weekly course plan and you will be supported along the way.
Applications should be made on line (now closed for 2015). If you need further details then please e mail sherrkar@aol.com

In 2013 we ran the course for the first time, with great success! This is what a few participants thought.

I’ve definitely been bitten by the running bug. I have met loads of great people. The instructors are so helpful and supportive. The beginners group was definitely the right place for me. I haven’t run since school and hated it back then. Can’t believe how much I enjoy it. I’m a changed person thanks to STAC.

I have lost 12lb in weight. My husband is in total shock with how well I’m doing. In 20 years he’s never known me exercise for more than two sessions. He loves the new me. STAC have guided me well and kept me focused to take each week at a time and work at my own pace. The planning of the training and clear weekly messages we have received have helped. We’ve all been at different degrees of progression but all have encouraged each other to stick with it and do well.
Tips for new starters would be to recognise that it will take you 5-6 sessions in order to feel you are making good progress.

I just want to say a big thank you to you all. You have been fantastic, you’ve helped us through the moaning, the awful ‘I can’t do it ‘time. You are a great club and I’m so glad to now be part of it.

Oh my God! I can run for 30 minutes!!!! St Theresa’s Athletic Club you are amazing! Yay!

S.S.

Thank you all for getting me through 30 minutes tonight. A few weeks ago I would have said that was impossible.

I’m so chuffed we have done 30 minutes running. I’ve had a fantastic time since joining the training 14 weeks ago. I’ve not exercised for 20 years since leaving school and I now go out 3 times a week and run about 3 miles, at least, each time.

Fantastic value for £10.
