It’s a great honour to announce that Christopher Gill has been selected to run for England in the Chester Marathon in 2018. Age group teams are selected from nominated qualifying races which included this year’s Chester Marathon where Chris ran 3 hours and 25 minutes, a time he personally is a bit disappointed with.
This race is an opportunity for England Athletics to highlight and reward some of the athletes who perform to such a high standard through the Vet age group categories. Chris’s performances are outstanding for any club runner, never mind somebody competing in the V70 age group, so to be given a chance to run in the vest of his country is a fitting tribute.
Congratulations to Chris, he is a true inspiration to all STAC members,
