Track Sessions

We now hold a monthly track session at John Charles Sport Centre, Middleton Grove, Leeds, LS11 4DJ. Please arrive ready to warm up by 7.00pm This is usually held on the last Wednesday of each month. Confirmed date and time will be published along with the planned on this website. The session costs £3 payable at reception (free for Bodyline Card holders) and last for approximately one hour.

The track is open to the public and as such there may be other track users. We will normally advise on track etiquette before each session. Please bring your normal running gear, drinks and an outer layer of clothing to wear when recovering and warming down. Spikes are not required. A typical session may consist of 2-3 laps slow jog warm up. Running drills/dynamic stretches & strides.

A planned session of efforts and recovery at a planned pace e.g. (4x400m with 60 sec recovery) x2 sets. 2 laps Warm down jog. Gentle stretching. All club members are welcome.

These training sessions are being organised by club members who are not trained coaches, however, they do have experience in planning and running track sessions. Therefore, attendance is entirely at your own risk as we may not be insured to hold it as a coached session. This session has already proved popular with members as it allows an alternative to the Tuesday and Thursday training which not everyone can always attend. We strongly recommend that you do not train for 3 consecutive evenings in the week, however, as the Wednesday and Thursday sessions will be quite demanding and we want to avoid injury from overuse or fatigue.
